Study Abroad in Canada☆

I’ll write about schedule of this trip. You go to Toronto in Canada by plane. Flight time is about 12~13 hours. When you arrive at Canada you go to Toronto University and meet your host family. And you stay there for 3 weeks. In the morning you go to Toronto University and take classes there and after classes you have activities or free time. In weekend, you can spend time with your host family. After spending with your host family, you move to Banff and Vancouver by plane. And you go sightseeing in the last five days. You stay at hotel in this time. In Banff, you can see Canadian Rocky. This is the World Heritage Site. In Vancouver, you can enjoy going sightseeing. If you pay money, you can go to the Vancouver Isles. Thus, you can go to many places in Canada and enjoy your trip! So, I recommend you to go this trip！！

Meitetsu Trains

I'll talk about Meitetsu Trains. It is useful because if you use it, you can go Central Japan International Airport, and it is urban network runs through Aichi and Gifu prefecture. Then, I'll show you how to get to Central Japan International Airport from Nagoya station.

First, you check the fare to your destination on the fare map above the ticket vending machine. Second, you put money in vending machine. Third, you push the button showing the correct fare to your destination. Fourth, you take your ticket. Fifth, you go through the ticket gate. Then, you don't forget to pick up your ticket! And you ride in the train for the airport. But, on the way you have to change trains from Nagoya line to the airport line at Jingu-mae. You'll do that, it takes about 35 minutes from Nagoya station to the airport. If you have any questions feel free to ask the station staff. Thus it is useful, so why don't you use it?

Oktoberfest

Hello! I'll talk about statistics of Oktoberfest.
There are 100,000 seats in the festival halls. About 6,2 million visitors go to this festival every year. They drink and eat so much. For example, about 7,000.000 leters of beer is drunk (6,940,600 liters), about 80,000 liters of wine is drunk (79,624 liters), about 32,000 of sparking wine is drunk (32,047 liters), and about two hundred 223,000 liters of coffee and tea is drunk (222,725 liters).
In food, about 520,000 of chicken is ate (521,872 units), about 142,000 pork sausages are eaten, and about 39,000 fish are eaten.
But there are many left overs of foods and drinks. The total number is about 1000t. This is bad problems. So, next presenter Hirohumi will talk about this problem.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

I introduce about Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. It is name of a railway in Mumbai. It’s old name was Victoria Terminus. Mumbai suburban railway and another long distance railway have come to Mumbai. It’s name is very long, so it is called CST or VT by the citizen of Mumbai. It was registered by UNESCO World Heritage in 2004.

Next, I introduce about structure of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. The station was built in1888. It is a Venezia Gothic style and magnificent building. It can see uniting Gothic Revival construction of the Victorian age and traditional construction of India. This station is proud of surprising progressive structure and technological such as railway construction of 19 century.

And next, I’ll talk about history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. The station was designed by Frederick William Stevens, a consulting architect in 1887 to 1888. It takes ten years to complete, and was named Victoria Terminus for the Queen and Empress Victoria.

But it was changed its name to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus for Maratha king. He was king of India in 17 century. On 2 July 2004 the station was nominated a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO.

We can use this station to ride in it. So, if you go to India, you should use this station!

Drayton Manor

I'm going to talk about thrill rides in Drayton Manor.

There are many Thrill rides in Drayton Manor. The most popular thrill ride is Shockwave. It is the only stand-up coaster in Europe. It drops quickly and screws again and again!! It looks really exciting!!

Of course other thrill rides look really exciting too. For example, Maelstrom, stormforce, and G force so on. If you know more detail, you should access their web page. You can watch movies of thrill rides there.

Next, I am going to introduce Thomas land at Drayton Manor Park! I think that everyone knows Thomas. This is the Thomas area. It was set in 6000 square meters and there are 12 wonderful rides, and an indoor play area and a shop filled with Thomas&friends Exibition because we can not only experience the original set as TV show but also have a ride on Thomas and go for a wild adventure on the Trucks Runaway Coaster! Neverthless Thomas fan or not, this area will present for you a really fun time.
